September was a milestone month for OpenPolicy! It started at the Billington CyberSecurity Summit in Washington, D.C. Beyond the main stage, we hosted exclusive private events including an intimate leadership dinner and a memorable sunset cocktail event with clients, partners, and policymakers.
A highlight of the week was our meeting with Richard Horne, head of the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and Annie Plews, the UK Cyber Attaché in Washington, D.C.. This conversation underscored the growing importance of international collaboration in shaping cyber strategy, AI governance, and policy innovation.
The OpenPolicy ecosystem also got the inside scoop from RADM Mark Montgomery, USN (ret.), from the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, and Perri Adams, formally at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, on what a dedicated cyber force could look like and how it might address today’s offensive and defensive warfare gaps. These engagements reinforced OpenPolicy’s role as a connector at the intersection of government, industry, and technology, helping drive the global dialogue on cybersecurity resilience and regulatory strategy.
